Board & Staff

36 Commuting Solutions consists of five staff members, a board of directors and 75 member organizations. The board of directors includes representatives from the public and private sectors, developers and local governmental entities.

Our board members are committed to advocating for US 36 and RTD FasTracks transportation improvements and expanding the use of commute options throughout the Northwest region.

Audrey DeBarros

Audrey DeBarros

Executive Director
Audrey DeBarros has more than 20 years of experience in developing integrated transportation solutions and partnerships in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Audrey's expertise includes integrating Transportation Demand Management (TDM) strategies with the corridor and local land use planning efforts, engaging public and private sector stakeholders and developing innovative partnerships and programs to broaden coalition advocacy efforts. Audrey is the proud recipient of the Association for Commuter Transportation’s 2015 Excellence in Advocacy Award, and the Denver Regional Council of Governments' 2015 Distinguished Service Award. Audrey holds an undergraduate degree in Communications and Masters in Nonprofit Management degrees from Regis University. She is a proud member of the Elevations Credit Union Foundation board of directors.

Amber Broha

Marketing Coordinator
Amber Broha recently moved to Colorado from Washington, DC, where she was a Communications and Operations Associate at the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT). While at the ICCT, Amber oversaw the publication process for research papers and staff publications, planned international and domestic events, and provided content-development support. An Illinois native, Amber holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Illinois.

Cathy Bird

Outreach Coordinator
Originally from Ohio, Cathy fostered her love of communication with a B.A. in French and Linguistics from Indiana University and l’Université de Strasbourg before moving to Denver in 1991. For the past twenty years she has taught French and Spanish to middle school students at St. Anne’s Episcopal and Colorado Academy. Public transit has been one of Cathy's long-time interests, stemming from days spent guiding students through the Paris metro and culminating with her efforts as founder and president of the Platt Park People's Association to obtain Neighborhood EcoPasses. In 2014, Cathy worked as the Program Coordinator for Transit Alliance. She has served as a committee chair on the Safe Routes to School Coalition and was recently elected to the board of eGo Carshare.

Rachel Setzke

Executive Assistant
After graduating from Beloit College, Rachel Setzke worked for the Colorado Nonprofit Association. In her time there, she was the editor of the Colorado Nonprofit Salary & Benefits Survey and Nonprofit Colorado, the Association’s bi-monthly newsletter. She managed conferences, coordinated Colorado Nonprofit Week events and worked on nonprofit advocacy throughout the state. She has served on the board of directors for the Young Nonprofit Professionals Network, Share-A-Gift and the Fireside Elementary PTO. She is also currently the director of Peace and Justice Day Camp at the Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. A Boulder native, she lives in Louisville with her husband, two kids and dog.
