Telework

Increasing Productivity

Imagine getting your work done without leaving home. The benefits can be great: zero commuting time, greater productivity levels, reduced fuel and maintenance costs, lower stress levels throughout the day and much, much more.  Everyone benefits when employers offer this great option to employees!

Employers that offer telework programs benefit from:

Telework Standard

  • Increased employee productivity
  • Improved employee recruitment and retention
  • Improved employee morale
  • Reduced overhead costs
  • Decreased demands for office and parking space

Employees who telework benefit from:

  • Less parking and commuting expenses
  • Better balance of work and personal lives
  • Reduced stress

I typically telework two days a week.  My normal drive to work takes a minimum of an hour and fifteen minutes – one way.   So, when I telework, I gain three hours. That makes me much more productive, not only by gaining three hours in my day,  but my brain is also much more ready to work, as I have not had the frustration of rush hour traffic weighing on my mind.  In today’s work world, there are so many ways to stay connected with the office, and to respond timely to most situations, that others probably don’t even know I’m not in the office.
