­Project News for the Week of July 20

Wadsworth Boulevard, from 112th to 116th Avenue, will be closed to all through traffic starting this Sunday, July 20, at 7 p.m., reopening on Sunday, July 27 at 7 p.m. This closure will remain in effect 24 hours a day. The detour route can be viewed atwww.us36expresslanes.com.

The ramp from northbound 92nd Avenue to Sheridan Boulevard will reopen to all through traffic on Wednesday, July 23, at 5:30 a.m. The ramp has been closed since last fall as part of the Sheridan Boulevard interchange reconstruction.

Federal to Sheridan Boulevard

Eastbound US 36 Nighttime Single Lane Restrictions

Eastbound US 36, approximately a quarter mile east of the Sheridan Boulevard bridge, will have nightly single lane restrictions, July 21-25, 10 p.m.-5 a.m., for device installation. One lane of travel will remain open at all times.

Federal Boulevard On-Ramp to Eastbound US 36 Restriction

The Federal Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound US 36 will have a single lane daytime restriction, July 21-25, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., for ramp meter installation. One lane will remain open for access onto eastbound US 36.

Sheridan to Church Ranch Boulevard

Westbound US 36 Daytime Single Lane Restrictions

Westbound US 36 will have a single right lane restriction from Federal to Sheridan Boulevard, July 21-24, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., and from 7 p.m. on Friday, July 25, through noon on Saturday, July 26. This restriction is necessary for wall installation. One lane of travel will remain open at all times.

Northbound and Southbound Sheridan Boulevard Daytime Lane Restrictions

Expect single lane daytime restrictions on northbound and southbound Sheridan Boulevard, July 23-25, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., for utility boring. One lane will remain open in both directions at all times.

Sheridan Ramp Restrictions

The eastbound US 36 off-ramp to Sheridan Boulevard will be closed for paving on Tuesday, July 22, midnight-5:30 a.m., and Wednesday, July 23, 10 p.m.-5:30 a.m. RTD operations will not be impacted.

Church Ranch Boulevard Ramp Restrictions

The eastbound US 36 off-ramp to Church Ranch Boulevard will be closed for paving on Monday, July 21, 7 p.m.-5:30 a.m. RTD bus operations will not be impacted. Traffic will be detoured to Sheridan Boulevard.

Daytime Lane Restrictions on Church Ranch Boulevard On-Ramp

The northbound Church Ranch Boulevard turn lane to the on-ramp to eastbound US 36 will have a single daytime lane restriction, July 21-26, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., for roadway construction.

Single Lane Restrictions

Expect single lane restrictions, July 21-26, 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m., on eastbound and westbound US 36 from Federal to Church Ranch Boulevard.

Wadsworth Parkway to 88th Street

US 36 Single Lane Restrictions

Eastbound and westbound US 36 will have nightly single lane restrictions, July 21-26, 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m., from 88th Street to Church Ranch Boulevard. These lane restrictions are necessary for dirt and concrete hauling, paving, and barrier removal and placement.

Ramp Restrictions

The following ramps will have single lane daytime restrictions for light and fiber installations, July 21-25, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.; one lane will remain open at all times:

  • Northbound Wadsworth Parkway on-ramp to westbound US 36
  • East Flatiron on-ramp to eastbound US 36

88th Street to Foothills Parkway

US 36 Single Lane Restrictions

Eastbound and westbound US 36 will have nightly single lane restrictions from the 88th Street bridge to Foothills Parkway, July 21-26, 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m.

McCaslin Boulevard and Ramp Restrictions

Northbound and southbound McCaslin Boulevard, between Marshall and Dillon Road, and the on- and off-ramps to McCaslin, will have daytime and nighttime lane restrictions, July 21-26, 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m.-5:30 a.m. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. RTD operations will not be impacted.

Local Street Restrictions and Ongoing Closures

East Turnpike Drive Closure For the safety of the traveling public, Turnpike Drive to the east and west of Lowell Boulevard is closed to all through traffic. This closure is necessary to construct the noise walls and relocate utilities on eastbound US 36. Flaggers will be on-site. Local traffic will be allowed through the work zone.

88th Place Right Turn Lane Restriction The right turn lane from 88th Place to northbound Sheridan Boulevard will remain closed through the end of July 2014. This closure is necessary to complete the final configuration of the new Sheridan Boulevard interchange.

Wadsworth Boulevard, from 112th to 116th Avenue Closure — Wadsworth Boulevard, from 112th to 116th Avenue, will be closed to all through traffic starting this Sunday, July 20, at 7 p.m., reopening on Sunday, July 27 at 7 p.m. This closure will remain in effect 24 hours a day.
