Project News for the Week August 2
All work is subject to change based on weather or scheduling conflicts
Westbound US 36 traffic will be aligned onto new concrete pavement from 88th Street to Foothills Parkway over the weekend. This project milestone will place all westbound traffic onto the new roadway and will position the off-ramp to McCaslin much closer to the actual exit. Currently, the westbound exit ramp is approximately a mile from the bridge. Once the westbound alignment is complete, eastbound US 36 traffic from Foothills to 88th Street will be realigned to the north, which will allow construction of the new eastbound concrete lanes.
Toll collection has started! To use the US 36 Express Lanes for free, you will need to create an ExpressToll account and get a Switchable HOV pass (shown below) to carpool with two or more people in your vehicle (three or more by no later than 2017). The two general purpose lanes are open for free. If you have questions regarding paying tolls, opening an ExpressToll account, obtaining a pass or any other ExpressToll topics, please visit www.expresstoll.com or call 303-537-3470.
We appreciate your patience as we work to complete the Phase 1 bikeway. While finish work is ongoing, please be advised that if a work zone is barricaded, your cooperation in avoiding this area and following the detour route is necessary.
Express Lane Restrictions
Multiple nightly lane closures started July 27 on southbound I-25 between US 36 and 58th Avenue.
