Project News for the Week of June 28
In observance of the upcoming holiday weekend there will be no work on the project after noon, Friday, July 3, through 9 p.m. Sunday, July 5.
The largest section of the Phase 1 bikeway from Interlocken Loop to Sheridan Boulevard is now open to cyclists. Please be advised there are still two areas we are working to complete from the 88th Street bridge to Interlocken Loop, and from Sheridan to Lowell Boulevard. Areas still under construction will be barricaded. Additional wayfinding signage is being installed daily along the bikeway. Thank you for your patience as we work to complete the Phase 1 Bikeway.
The westbound US 36 off-ramp to Sheridan Boulevard will have various ramp restrictions, June 26 and 27, 11 p.m.-8 a.m., for concrete paving.
Express Lane Restrictions
Expect daytime single lane closures, June 28-July 3, 7 a.m.-6 p.m., on northbound and southbound I-25 from Clear Creek to 48th Avenue. These restrictions are necessary for bridge work.
Day and nightly single lane restrictions in the Express Lane continue, June 28-July 3, on northbound and southbound I-25 at 70th Avenue and Clear Creek (where the US 36 ramp and the I-25 ramp converge) for bridge structure work. US 36 traffic will merge with I-25 traffic to a single lane in this location. Expect delays during peak times. Alternate routes are available to US 36 commuters to bypass the construction, which include Broadway to 70th Avenue to the Express Lanes.
The narrowed single lane on the 20th Street bridge is now in effect and will remain in this configuration through mid-July.
